Your name is Mat-thew. Your job is M.A.T. and you are a welcoming Mat on Gaia? Hmm…sounds great to me..and I’m sure it would rock some more but alas I am out of ‘mat’ words….so I’m forced to plagiarize Lisa…”ok, i’m just kidding. Who am i anyways..” lol
PS: Yep, its a great question…have made a big impact for me too….and I still can’t come up with a good enough answer for me….
Hey Amy, if you can keep a secret, it might be possible that I maybe kinda sorta named the MAT that way on purpose. But again, don’t tell anyone!! :)
Yikes, Matthew…that’s a hard secret to keep…even for someone belonging to the female species and it’s not that we talk too much, secrets are strong forces that work hard to pry our mouths open but lol, no worries…….I’m sure I could beat any secret force if I really wanna :-)
…and psst, if names are any indication of ‘who am I’, then according to my oracular derivative name, I am ‘A-mat-ie’ too:-)Trying hard not to roll my eyes here but I’m probably a mother mat…or why else am I always sopping up after my kids?
…so here is a secret wish for you …may all the rough, demanding, big, heavy, muddy, bunion-ed feet of the universe step on u ever so lightly like the soft lotus feet of a child.

That’s sweet, Amy. All except for the part where you wished for giant feet to “gently” crush me. Other than that, though… HUGE SMILES!
I don’t remember the context of the situation but I do remember a coworker unexpectedly saying to me rhetorically, You’re just coasting in life, aren’t you? (paraphrased) Over 20 years later I still remember it, and I remember the point when i GOT what he meant too, and I knew I was no longer coasting… :)
That’s beautiful, Mary. And it’s amazing, too, how as we grow, the meaning of a question can change. Isn’t it?
Hmm… I’m scratching my head here…now where did I mention ‘giant feet”? Ah! Oh yes, between the lines…lol…dang, I bet it was the ‘huge smiles’ that gave me away…
