I beg to differ. I seem to remember, several years ago, that you told me I could call you “Matthew of God.” And I don't think you were being egocentric
Wasn't “Matthew of God” your name for me? No, I don't think I was being egocentric either. But when I say I don't know my purpose in life, maybe that's just part of the mystery. When I think I know my purpose, something always happens to explode my notions of what that is. I accept, in this moment, that I don't need to know my purpose in order to fulfill it, whatever that purpose may be, if such even exists :)
Not many of us know their purpose in life Matthew…….your candor is muchly appreciated and your being is well loved around the Gaia family. That's one awsome light!
And though I don't know how my purpose will ultimately play out, I do feel I know my task… to live authentically- to accept myself completely, so that I can embrace others completely. To Love, by any name.
Ultimately, I believe you are right, sanmugan. But, be they real or not, things like “belief” and “purpose” are toys we use to make this samsaric journey a little more fun, no?
~M… personally i think your purpose is to make me laugh. it is a purpose that renews itself every day and so you'll never be able to say “mission accomplished”!!!
how 'bout them apples?!
but maybe your purpose (our purpose) is different every day because every day brings new and different opportunities, and people, across your path. sooooo… maybe (y)our purpose is to remain open to see what today's mission is! i mean, in addition to your purpose of making me laugh.
I'm glad I can make you laugh F'nix. As long as I can inspire Joy in those around me, even if just for a rare moment, I feel I'm fulfilling at least part of my purpose in this ruthlessly beautiful life.

Oh! Is that what it is? Can I say, “mission accomplished!”? Love the icon! ;-)

There is no purpose in your life and our life,so what is the purpose of this life, so it too has no purpose.
Ultimately, I believe you are right, sanmugan. But, be they real or not, things like “belief” and “purpose” are toys we use to make this samsaric journey a little more fun, no?
I accept your verdict. We like to have more fun. That is correct.
