Good work, Matthew. You're 1/6th of the way there. Soon it will be 1/4, then over the half hump, then it's all uphill and downill and uphill and downhill from there.

I agree with you: bellyaches and bouncing do not go together. Headaches are in the same category.

Well, off to Mendocino, and bringing a rebounder…

I was wondering if you connected with this Jordan! I reading, watching, and observing… :)

Keep up the good work, Matt(Hew)

Remember this is good for:
1. core strength
2. and retraining for new vasomotor patterns
3. don't forget your positive imagery while bouncing….

Got it! Thanks! I'll be interviewing Jordan. We've been talkin'. I think he is expecting it:)! Cynthia Sue Larson (reality shifters), a mutual friend a colleague,  just emailed me today to set up her interview!

Cynthia Sue Larson, who came to our last party (lucky us!), was the person who first introduced me to Zaadz! Thanks, again, Cynthia.

Bryan, I agree with all of what you said rebounding is “good for” above, plus, to my experience, lots more. However, there is a dearth, to my knowledge, of hard-core research (see the science chapters in my free .pdf on rebounding in my ChiBounding pod). Have you uncovered any hard-core research? Looking forward to meeting you.

And, needless to see, you go, Matthew!

So, I just finished reading the book The Singularity is Near by Ray Kurzweil, and in it, Ray talks about the book he co-authored with Terry Grossman M.D. called Fantastic Voyage:  Live Long Enough to Live Forever

Then, yesterday I was checking out Ray and Terry's website, and I saw that in their resources page, they recommend rebounding:

“A rebounder is a mini-trampoline used for exercise by people of all age groups. It is ideal aerobic exercise, as it does not put strain on the knees or ankles. It also provides a variety of health benefits including an increase in agility, an improved sense of balance, and a decrease of body fat.”

Well, Matt, it looks like you are doomed to a life riddled with conscious action and dynamic consequence by virtue of integral living!

Congratulations:))!

That's *great* that word is “getting out” on rebounding. I must caution anyone who looks there, though, as to their recommendation for an American-made spring-based rebounder; my experience, four years ago, was that the kind they recommended didn't last very long under my regime before springs started popping and mats started fraying. But who knows…maybe they're better now.

You guys have inspired me to start bouncing.  However, I definitely cannot spend $500+ on a rebounder right now, so the Bellicon is out.  Things are pretty tight as 2008 is my GET OUTTA DEBT year.  :-)  I was looking at the Urban Rebounder.  Is this an okay first rebounder?  I realize the quality isn't the best, but the price is right.  I only weigh like 115, so I don't think it's going to take a major beating.  ;-)  Any advice you guys (Matthew or Jordan or any other certified experts) can give would be appreciated!  Muchas Gracias!

Tara, I haven't tried the Urban Rebounder yet, but I recently ordered one for myself and wife for when we travel or want to bounce at the same time.  She also weighs about 115.  If you want, I can let you know what we think of it once it gets here…

And best of luck to you on getting out of debt!!  I'd recommend making a financial plan, listing your income and expenses, and seeing where you can cut the expenses down.  Note which debts have the highest interest rates and try to consolidate them into low interest rate loans.  If you have good credit, you may want to look at http://prosper.com  It's a peer-to-peer lending site.  It may offer you lower interest rates than what you are currently paying.

I know.  Debt sucks.  And I made sure I had enough money in the bank before I bought the Bellicon.  But it truly is a great rebounder.  Everyone who has tried it out at my house has been impressed.

Deep Bow,
~Matthew

Hi guys. This is great. Matthew, I think it's time we deploy the real domain “dailybounce” or “thedailybounce” .com.

Tara, the Urban Rebounder is *exactly* the unit I recommend to people that is the least expensive but not a toy. They seemed to me to be pretty durable. Go for it!

In fact, call me if you like and we can talk about it. I'll send you my # via email.

– Jordan

P.S. Also, the claims about body fat per se are unproven. Some exercises, as you know, like swimming, don't reduce body fat per se. I'm unsure about that and rebounding. I know I have more muscle, but whether I have less fat at any given time depends on how well I've been controlling my apetitite. Anyway, I'm certain there's no evidence for this. In fact, if you download the free .pdf book  in my chibounding pod, which I think off the cuff is http://enlightenment.com/rebound/allontherebound1.1.pdf , and take a look at the science chapters, you'll see that I make the case that very little, actually, is known about rebounding. That is, very little is scientifically known about rebounding. The anecdotal proof is clear, and I am determined to come up with a more thorough and comprehensive understanding than has yet been offered, and welcome all of your help in this.

This is fun..we could starts a bouncing zaadznomenon…

Received my Urban Rebounder today.  My initial assessment is disappointment.  But I guess you get what you pay for.  My opinion is of course tainted by the fact that I've been rebounding on one brand for 82 days straight.  The UR bounce is very shallow (jolting compared to the bellicon).  I guess it's a different style of bounce.  When traveling, I'll have to get used to the difference.  But I'm really glad I made my initial investment in the Bellicon bungee.

I wanted to share with you enlightened folk:

Hello, I thought you may be interested in this:

Sandra Ingerman is going to do another interview with me at the end of the month! The former network through which I broadcast lost my archive of her show, and what a terrible loss that was to me!

She just emailed me moments ago, after returning to the country yesterday to reply that we will interview once again, so stay tuned – sooo excited! Let me know!

I wanted to give an update on the Urban Rebounder.  I gave it a second go, today.  I'd say that I'm not as disappointed as I was when I received it.  It just takes getting used to the “different” way of bouncing.  Because the UR uses springs instead of bungees, the bottom seems “hard” instead of soft.  So, you have to adjust your bounce to let the springs to more of the work, which removes the “jolting” sensation I described above.

So, Tara, I would recommend the UR for a beginning rebounder.  But if/when you do decide to go with the Bellicon Bungee Rebounder, I think you'll be very pleased.

Warm Regards,
~M

This kitty is purrrrrring all over the place in excitement. I shall be joining you in a few days, Matthew. Yeahhhhhhhhhhh. Am counting the days for my box of bounding bliss to arrive.
It took time for Jordan's fabulous example to settle in a place of “doing” within me, and creating a time slot in my day. Goddess fixed all that so here I am brother, a fellow rebounder.
How do you feel? How do you look? Does your Beloved notice la difference?

I am working on that…. Last time I was in Oz I got my sister into running shoes, a running watch, and Anthony Robbins to listen to as she hits the Gold Coast sand. Set up a mini weight area for her in her garage, mirror, belt, gloves….cool.
Just about got my her toesy woezys into a Bikram's Yoga studio.

And now this. It will take a wee bit of time.
I will be flying to my goddess daughter next week. She and her beloved are totally into Bikram's yoga and are sooooo fit they remind me of beautiful, Stradivarius violins. They will pick up on my bursting energy once I get going.
Woooooooo…….(~M)
