Ayako took me to a concert recently. The name of the band was Kan'nal. I hadn't heard of them and was a little skeptical, but Ayako assured me this was her new favorite band. Now it's mine, too. They play "Shamanic Rock," which is a pretty cool name for a genre. I'm hooked. Tell me how you like it!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention... the man behind that sexy voice is now on Zaadz. His name is Tzol. Send him some fluffy love, and if you really like his music, feel free to purchase one of his CDs :)
Also, Lauren Brillante of Integral Institute is going to be submitting an article about Kan'nal to Holons, so stay tuned for that! Hopefully, it will make it in. I'd also like to see this band make it onto Integral Naked soon!
Keep Loving!

I like 'em. Thanks for the heads up.
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice! Geez, they are two very different songs. The first one reminded me of santana, it's got this latinino/spanish feel to it while the other, mmmm, well i'm not sure kind of soft rock. Mellow but kewl.
nice, reminds me of what i d like to be listening to if singapore had cafe culture (kafe kulture?) and folk singers galore at cafes…good o!
Hey alucinare, great observations… Kan'nal's music is informed by Guatemala culture, so that's probably why you noticed a thread of Latino/Spanish in it :)
When spacious awareness rooted in a mystically sound framework is brought to stellar muscianship and intuitive lyrics I am always a fan of the result. Sweeeeeeeeeet stuff.
Wow !!!! I'm loving it. Can't get any better than some soulful music that puts a smile of your face and makes you ponder. Put there home page in my favorites.
Ooh, very nice. I like it. I found a great new band too, Enter The Haggis, playing Celtic fusion rock.
Enjoy!

They have a band page on Zaadz now too :)
…a serene soundscape…thanks…
Hey thanks for the pointer. I love finding new bands, and this one has some great music. Good for the soul.
I bought both of their CD's and encourage everyone else to purchase one. They are absolutely fabs. I love them and can't wait till their new release with Dragonfly on it. It's another fabulous songs. Thanks Matthew and Ayako for sharing.
