~Matthew, I have a question.
What are the top five most interesting things about yourself?
What are the top five most weird things about you?
There that ought to carry at least a minute or two…
:)
Looking forward to hearing what you pick to answer….uber freaking cool thingy…I want one too!

(suggestion: answer this in the voice of mini-me)

What is mu?

Matthew, Matthew, Mathiu, Matthoo:  You have a hit show here!  I mean, this is the Voice of Enigma, er, um, The Voice of Matthew.  You see, because you have the voice and the brain to go with it, IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE WHAT THE QUESTIONS ARE, because you can just impovise off of them and say anything you want, and it is the PERFORMANCE that's the thing, not the ANSWERS!

You can take questions from any source, absolutely anything: Personnel Applications, DMV Motor Vehicle Forms, Yahoo Profiles..It just doesn't matter. The point is HOW you choose to improvise off of the question, OK?

And you can create a “Question Dump” of questions from your 1000 Very Closets Friends, or just wander around your favorite healthy market and gather random questions from strangers. (That might be kewl!)

Now, it it would help, I have a program I created called something like “Delta Dawn's Data-Link Designs for Loving,” which I actually created for myself, but then realized I also had a commercial product that was HOT!  Here's how I use it: There are about 500 questions that help me get to know the “BEautiful Inner Being” in someone else. As part of the usual due diligence I conduct on people that seem to be worth knowing, or at least having Teeccino with, once I have finished with the usual background check, I ask my potential friends/dates if they will answer my little 500 question diagnostic, as this will help me decide it I want to spend the time to get to know them better. Of course, most aspiring Friends of Delta Dawn fall out in the first 10-20 questions, so it is a great time saver, and hey, they have to do all the work.

Bottom Line, I rent this data-base out for $5000 per use (there is a monthly license fee if you want to revisit the data base after your initial download and use, terms negotiable), and would be happy to give you a 50% initial discount.  I think that with these diagnostic questions alone, you could maintain a show for years, without any other input!  But of course you will have listener input as well. So, question-wise, for the show, you have abundance already, for a small fee of course!

Here are some FREE questions for you to tide you over until your next show! Use them judiciously, Matthew, because they are alchemical questions that may in fact change your life for the asking…

Did spring never deceive you
with kisses that didn't blossom?

From what does the hummingbird hang
its dazzling symmetry?

By what reason or injustice
does the rain weep its joy?

Hasn't the meadow caught fire
with wild fireflies?

Why do the waves ask me
the same questions I ask them?
And why do they strike the rock
with so much wasted passion?
Don't they get tired of repeating
their declarations to the sand?

Who can convince the sea
to be reasonable?

Isn't the city the great ocean
of quaking mattresses?

Do you like these?  they are actually STOLEN from Pablo Neruda's remarkable “Book of Questions.” These alone could keep you going for years.

Wonderful, wonderful concept here. I love it…   HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, just realized that I could do something like that as well. Thrilling idea: The Voice of Dawn Coyote! I have been told that i should just bottle and sell my voice, and I get offers all the time to do poetry readings on the net, but I have been too busy. So, Matthew, you inspire.

Now, on a more intimate and personal note: How the heck did you put this all together? Is it as easy as it sounds?  Tell, tell!  The only technical thing I would recommend at the moment is that you get some kind of filter (“wind filter”) to cut down on the breathing sounds when you exhale. Otherwise, this rocks!  High fives! Bye. :)

jeesh. who needs a database of questions when you've got writing prompts that you can use as launch pads into jazz-like rambling improvisations?

as for technical things, if you people have been reading ZPod:KB101 then you'll understand more things.

btw, Matthew, can you whip out a how to on how to embed this Odeo podcast into blogs? i will link to it from ZPod:KB101 like Dunkin Donuts.

Hello, I love you new radio show! I guess, you decided on taking on the broadcasting role hey. Gosh, who would say you are not a funny guy? Humm..my question to you: what is the first funny act or thing or memory you remember about yourself in a comic sense?

How did you get your voice on the audio player? I would like to have some tips. Hey, you can consider about doing some kind of ipod broadcasting in the future like what Brian do but with your own special style..^^

Here's a couple questions:

When is “crazy” a good thing?

What would you say you have in common with “The Crazy Ones”?

And, a riddle for you:  When is 90 greater than 100?

Great blog.  I can hardly wait until next week!

Have you ever recalled a powerful surge of radically encapsulated, thigh-saturated, [almost] purely visceral desire to copulate and subsequently redirected that unfortunately easily reducible, mostly bodily urge into a non-meta-narrative sort of piece of writing that tries to induce/produce a sympathetic, somewhat transformative hermeneutical evaluation of your expierances?

Should we start wearing WWKD badges?
